Loving Yoga Classes

Deborah Desmond

Monday-Friday 9am- 10:30am

$15per class or $100 for a 10 class card begins Monday Jan 30th 2012

Join me for a mystical morning. In this flowing, dynamic practice I focus on keeping you safe and challenged at the same time.I will do a lot of the practice with you along with giving you hands on corrections and the personal attention that you need to create a strong balanced practice. The class begins with meditation and breathing exercises, then you will sweat, strengthen and balance while being infused with inspirational quotes and music. Class ends with restorative poses and reiki massage. This class is suitable for beginner and advanced practitioners alike as there are many variations offered for each pose. Students are encouraged to practice every day class is offered to get in the rythm of making yoga a part of your everyday life. Tea is often enjoyed after class so you can ask any questions or just relax a bit before beginning your day.

* The following classes are taught by amazing teachers who rent out the space please contact the teacher's themselves about pricing info

Several years ago, I happend to move into a new apartment at 336 Grand Street. A dedicated student of yoga since 1999, I was thrilled to find out that there was a new studio right downstairs called Namaste. Little did I know that this beautiful space would turn out to be one of the greatest blessings of my life, leading me eventually to complete my 200 hour training under the guidance of my amazing teacher Deborah Desmond in June of 2010. I have been fortunate to teach regularly since then. I practice and teach a style that integrates elements of classical Hatha and Ashtanga yoga with a vigorous vinyasa flow and plenty of emphasis on pranayama. I work to offer classes that are challenging yet meditative. More than anything, I believe in two simple things: The power of positive thinking and the transformative power of yoga. To that end, I keep my classes as straightforward and accessible as possible in the belief that by providing a safe, comfortable environment, the student will need only to show up and keep an open mind and the yoga will take care of the rest.

Nami  Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm + Saturdays 1-2:30pm 8cosmos8@gmail.com www.nami8.net

you can join her for 'candlelit cosmic flow',

They both are open level vinyasa.

A little blurb about me... I'm truly excited to be back at namaste!!

LOVE!

Lulu  Sundays 4:00-5:30 PM : RESTORATIVE YOGA

lu.ekiert@gmail.com

In Restorative Yoga we move through 4-5 poses in the whole hour and a half, holding each posture for 10-15 minutes using props like blocks, blankets, and pillows to support the body.  Using pranayama, meditation, and sense withdrawal to turn in, this style of yoga is great for Beginner and Injured Yogis and allows students to explore the transformative teachings of these ancient postures on a slower and deeper level.

Mondays 10:30-11:30 AM    (60 min) : KARMA YOGA

A selfless act.   I do this (with no expectations).  It is action.  this class is open to students at all levels of experience.  this is free yoga for free people.                                                                                  $$ DONATION

I like to keep my classes light, clear, warm, and flowing. Each session is a mindful vinyasa flow incorporating pranayama, poses, mudras, rests, sweat, & meditation. We have fun, we have peace, and we have community.
